An Oldie but Goodie!

Fashion to Hit the Fan!
But of course I have to keep up with my Fashion Inspirations. Since this is my day of a fresh start back on the blog, I wanted to present a breath of fresh air...the First Lady...Mrs. Michelle Obama.
This first lady is a trendsetter in many ways and she is rocking this Narcisco Rodriguez dress fresh off the runway. When it comes to fashion Mrs. Obama knows how to be fiery haute and still keep it presidential. Her respect for style reflects her well coordinated lifestyle between family and work. Standing next to her is her stylish little trendsetters Miss Sasha Fierce and Miss Malia. Go Girls!

Back to the Blog!

Hello,

When I made this blog I was intending on making it to be informative. But I kind of got bored with that idea. So instead my goal is to (don't mark my word) blog almost everyday from whatever comes to my mind. I have to get used to this thing or I will leap and jump away from it. Each time that I blog I am going to
  1. Give an account of my day.
  2. Pinpoint a lesson learned.
  3. Give some good gossip:)
  4. Be Informative in some way or form
  5. Keep it Real!

It's my blog...my world and I hope that with the few friends I do have...if I have ANY lol that anyone who gets a chance to take a glimpse at this will learn, laugh, and enjoy.

The ^ABOVE^ starts TODAY! Now I am officially off to the cyber-world of blogging. My abbreviated DIARY of what's really on my mind.

Today was the start of Summer School at Georgia Perimeter College and I can assure you it was rough trying to get back into gear after being out of school for about a month. I had just returned from a family vacation in Texas causing me to miss the actual first day of class. It didn't to much bother me that I had to get up at 6:00am because I naturally woke and and got into the sing of things. The traffic wasn't too bad on Hwy 78 or 285 this morning despite what my mother was warning me about. I got to the campus at ease because I'm great with directions. But, what I did not do was print of the directions to class. So this morning was a guessing game. Where the hell am I? I walked up and down stairs and in and out of buildings to finally get some directions from a janitor that my class was on the opposite end of the campus far behind the parking deck. I was late to a walking class and had been walking like a maniac to get there. First day was a BLAST!As I enter the door I approach the instructor with "Hello, I was wondering if I could get a class syllabus." "WHO are YOU!" says a rather mannish woman with a red, yet cold face. "I'm Christina Jones," I replied keeping up my usual charm. "YOUR LATE!" Of course I knew this and was preparing myself along the way for an unnecessarily angry Gym Instructor. She reprimanded me as if I was a puppy who peed on her shoe. I called my mom shortly after with a "I DON'T NEED THIS FROM NOBODY!" But she assured me to give it a try and ignore the MAMA BEAR. She had us do a timed walk test in which I ranked top 3 in the class due to my competitive nature. I was pleased. As I was walking I thought of all the benefits of having a Drill Sergeant so I have opted to hang in there for a torturous 7 more weeks. With my goal to lose about 7lbs., adding this regiment into my life might not be so bad after all. As I walked to my car she saw me and waved.

Bingo! I learned something here.

  1. Always look at things on the brighter side.
  2. Never take anything too personal.
  3. Learn to twist negative energy into positive energy.

Apparently my time for the mile walk was 14:15. It sounds pretty terrible if you ask me but I have the whole summer to get into shape and exceed my time. I also have some time to work on ME and to never allow situations like these to irk me or get me down. I am in control BABY I'M ON TOP!

Movie Review: Friday the 13th

February 13, 2009...Jason is back! If you love to scream and jump out of your seats this gruesome, explicit, horror is just for you. The movie brings it back to Jason's roots at Camp Crystal Lake where the young Jason drowned at camp. Vengence is his! As a group of young adults go camping out they discover that there's no running from this hockey-masked reaper. The negligence of the young adults makes it all the merrier with various pot-smoking, vulgar, and sexually graphic seens. Not to mention the comedy relief Chewie played by Aaron Woo and his counterparts Jenna (Danielle Panabaker), Bree (Julianna Guill), Chelsea (Willa Ford), Lawrence (Arlen Escarpta), and Nolan (Ryan Hansen), and Trent (Travis Van Winkle). Exhilarating and Frightening this movie will either make you say AHH! or OUCH!

Anywhoo...I give it a grand total of 4 STARS!

NY Fashion Week:The 80s Struts Back!

Fresh off the Runway at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NY was the emergence of the seemingly everlasting trend of the golden 80s Fashion. The catwalk was screaming heavy shoulder padding, neon colors, bold belts, and oversized party dresses. Leading the trend of the thrifty 80s look, Marc Jacobs took on this style in his collection possibly to emulate the conservation of high fashion in a downturning economy.
