When I made this blog I was intending on making it to be informative. But I kind of got bored with that idea. So instead my goal is to (don't mark my word) blog almost everyday from whatever comes to my mind. I have to get used to this thing or I will leap and jump away from it. Each time that I blog I am going to
- Give an account of my day.
- Pinpoint a lesson learned.
- Give some good gossip:)
- Be Informative in some way or form
- Keep it Real!
It's my blog...my world and I hope that with the few friends I do have...if I have ANY lol that anyone who gets a chance to take a glimpse at this will learn, laugh, and enjoy.
The ^ABOVE^ starts TODAY! Now I am officially off to the cyber-world of blogging. My abbreviated DIARY of what's really on my mind.
Today was the start of Summer School at Georgia Perimeter College and I can assure you it was rough trying to get back into gear after being out of school for about a month. I had just returned from a family vacation in Texas causing me to miss the actual first day of class. It didn't to much bother me that I had to get up at 6:00am because I naturally woke and and got into the sing of things. The traffic wasn't too bad on Hwy 78 or 285 this morning despite what my mother was warning me about. I got to the campus at ease because I'm great with directions. But, what I did not do was print of the directions to class. So this morning was a guessing game. Where the hell am I? I walked up and down stairs and in and out of buildings to finally get some directions from a janitor that my class was on the opposite end of the campus far behind the parking deck. I was late to a walking class and had been walking like a maniac to get there. First day was a BLAST!As I enter the door I approach the instructor with "Hello, I was wondering if I could get a class syllabus." "WHO are YOU!" says a rather mannish woman with a red, yet cold face. "I'm Christina Jones," I replied keeping up my usual charm. "YOUR LATE!" Of course I knew this and was preparing myself along the way for an unnecessarily angry Gym Instructor. She reprimanded me as if I was a puppy who peed on her shoe. I called my mom shortly after with a "I DON'T NEED THIS FROM NOBODY!" But she assured me to give it a try and ignore the MAMA BEAR. She had us do a timed walk test in which I ranked top 3 in the class due to my competitive nature. I was pleased. As I was walking I thought of all the benefits of having a Drill Sergeant so I have opted to hang in there for a torturous 7 more weeks. With my goal to lose about 7lbs., adding this regiment into my life might not be so bad after all. As I walked to my car she saw me and waved.
Bingo! I learned something here.
- Always look at things on the brighter side.
- Never take anything too personal.
- Learn to twist negative energy into positive energy.
Apparently my time for the mile walk was 14:15. It sounds pretty terrible if you ask me but I have the whole summer to get into shape and exceed my time. I also have some time to work on ME and to never allow situations like these to irk me or get me down. I am in control BABY I'M ON TOP!
